Arfatur Rahman

Arfatur received BSc (Hons) and MSc degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh; followed by several years of research elucidating the mechanism of antibiotic resistance of tuberculosis at International Centre for Diarrhoeal Diseases Research, Bangladesh (icddr.b). His strong interest in antibiotic resistance and new alternative drugs lead him to pursue PhD in related research arena and joined MIPS in 2018 as a PhD student. His PhD research focused on the assessment of a novel and potential anti-infective peptide that enhances host immune response against infectious microorganisms like M. tuberculosis, L monocytogenes.
