Sophia Davidson
Dr Sophia Davidson researches how our genome dictates the body's immune thresholds. She began her studies at Newcastle University (Australia) where she earned first class honours in Biomedical Science researching Toll-Like Receptor signalling. During her PhD in the laboratory of Dr Andreas Wack at the Francis Crick Institute for Medical Research (United Kingdom) she researched how host genetic background affects the induction of type I interferons and therefore disease outcome in influenza A virus infection. For her postdoctoral studies she now works on autoinflammatory diseases, particularly interferonopathies in the laboratory of A/Prof Seth Masters at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute.
