Eva Hesping
Eva is a biochemist by training and graduated from her Bachelor's degree in 2014 in Dusseldorf, Germany. After finishing her Master's, also in Dusseldorf in 2017, she moved to Brisbane (Australie) where she completed her PhD in March 2021, investigating new antimalarial drug targets (histone deacetylases). During her PhD, she identified compounds against these targets which demonstrate oral efficacy in an antimalarial mouse model. Eva is currently pursuing her first postdoctoral research project which focuses on liver-stage malaria and how the parasite interacts with its host during cell migration.
